WeatherCam System notification

Stephen Bolton, Saturday, 23 August 2008

There has been an intermittent fault with the wind speed/direction device for some time and correct diagnosis has been tricky.

As of this date, the
wind speed/direction unit has been totally replaced and the unit is fully functional again.

The symptom manifested itself as a zero wind speed reading from a direction of N being randomly recorded even though there was wind present.

Apart from being a little bit wrong, it would completely destroy the integrity of the wind direction/wind speed 6 hour trend graphs which are vertically aligned for comparison purposes.

Thanks to the Thursday TAG team, the Maximumm boys and Greg from the office for their assistance!

Stephen Bolton
